Arles Restaurants

A very short list of restaurants in Arles. In a way, our favourites. Generally, restaurants are open from 12pm to 2pm and then from 6pm to 10pm. That's all it is. Don't look for a restaurant in the afternoon, it doesn't exist. It's siesta time. Don't look for a restaurant on Monday either. They're almost all closed ;-).

The only thing all the city's restaurants have in common is that they are often fully booked, so booking in advance is highly recommended.

Chez Bob

Chez Bob is a legendary restaurant held by Jean-Guy and Josy. 30 minutes from Arles, in a Mas (local farmhouse) in the middle of Camargue on the road to Sambuc. Jean-Guy is a master for cooking on wood fire. Its menu is as simple as food cuisine can be in the South of France: Anchoaïade (anchovy puree), Poutargue (dried fish eggs of grey female mullet), steaklets of duck, roasted leg of lamb, bull chops..
Quality of the products and know-how make Chez Bob a real difference.. Pastis is good. Jean-guy has flamenco in his blood. We enjoy dining to the sound of the Gipsy Kings and family.. Nights there can be never ending..
Address: Mas Petite Antonelle, Route de Sambuc, Villeneuve Gageron
Opening hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 12pm to 2am.
